- We are all human, and we make mistakes. It's not intentional, we weren't trying to spite you.
- We are just working. As much as we take pride in our work, it is still a job, and we don't want to be there, any more than you want to be at your job.
- Most importantly, treat people the way you would want to be treated. At my job they have a mantra, "treat the customer like a guest in your home" good advice, but I've got something to add to it, "customers; treat your waiter like a friend you are visiting" After all, how would you like it if you had someone gave you an atttitude and even yelled at you everytime you make a mistake at work. It's upsetting, I know, I eat out too, but understand that we are humans that make mistakes, and that we have feelings that can be hurt, even by a customer we trying our best to help.

Working For The Weekend
Hey everyone, just had something on my mind I wanted to rant about for a minute. Like many people in college, I work at a restaurant, waiting tables, hosting, packaging togo orders, pretty much everything. Like everyone, I've made mistakes at work. The only problem is that when I make a mistake, it affects someone else, in this case the customer. I've had every different reaction, from being yelled at to being apologized to. I just wanted to ask everyone to remember these few things.
